kinda atrocious/amazing heels

i know i have been telling you all that i am wary of wearing (woah) heels around campus. but lately i can't stop lusting over them. the ones i like are reasonably priced, but not for someone who wouldn't wear the shoes on a regular basis. it is times like these i wish i went to an incredibly expensive school where everyone dressed up. then i wouldn't feel so weird about wearing "fancy" shoes. anyway, on to the eye candy.

so, i know i already have a pair of oxford heels. however, they are a kind of awkward color. they are a very dark brown (almost black) but i can't wear them with anything black. hence, my reasoning for wanting this pair from aldo. mmm, i love that chunky tall heel.

i know you may be cringing at these, but i love them. they look comfy too, considering how tall they are. i have realized that my purchase of flat black gladiator sandals (in a previous post) was a mistake as they successfully truncated my already minimal height. these are a blatant pair of balenciaga rip offs from ninewest, but oh how i love them. i imagine they would give anyone instantly killer legs!

these are my absolute favorite! i can just imagine my sister telling me how ugly these are. oh well! i think they would be adorable with thick grey knit tights and a great floral dress (something i have yet to purchase, but need). they are beautiful. but sold out everywhere in my size in that sweet cognac color. they have them in black, but...just look at them. i want them in cognac! basically, my birthday is coming up (in may) and these shoes all fall within my price range. but i doubt my mother would want me to purchase such "unpractical" things, as she suspects i am already quite overdressed for my casual college campus (alliteration!).

testing some outfits/pieces

even though no one reads this, i just can't stop posting. i decided to be unproductive and try some thingers on to experiment.

ok so here is the leather jacket i mentioned in a previous post that i got on sale for around $50 (real leather!). i paired it with a grey tank top from j crew and an american apparel mustard skirt. which is so comfy! and it has pockets, which is always a plus.

i tried this outfit on with a pair of oxford heels from ebay (they were around $15 or $20, which is expensive for ebay, but not bad for the quality). i love these shoes so much, but i am really intimidated to wear them around campus. first of all i am a complete klutz and also i don't want to look "slutty". i don't know if they look to hoochie paired with the short skirt.

i also tried them with knee highs. i probably wouldn't wear all this stuff together, but i was being lazy. i like the knee highs for coverage. if i wore them with those shoes i would probably wear a dress instead. i dunno, i love those socks (they're from target and so soft!) but they are another item i am not sure about. do they make me look short? are they slutty? too school girl?
ah, questions. anyway, i wish it would warm up so i could actually wear this stuff! or maybe i'll be too shy. who knows.

outfit of the day 03-25

hey y'all. i like how it is still cold when it is supposed to be spring. and by like i mean hate. because then i don't get to wear my dozens (ok, i'm exaggerating) of adorable cropped jackets. i didn't bring my camera to school with me, which explains the photobooth pictures. although, i have to admit photobooth pictures are like polaroids (which are being discontinued!) in that people just tend to look more attractive due to the low quality of the pictures. anyway i should be doing a statistics project. but i felt like posting because i just came back from a chem test that i failed! and i liked my outfit today.

my room is ruther messy, i know.
and here is my face...for good measure?
